Meet Our CEO --- A Message from Sister Jacquelyn

Sister Jacquelyn McCarthy, CSJ

Sister Jacquelyn McCarthy, CSJ, is a Sister of St. Joseph of Boston. She is a graduate of the Laboure College, Dorchester, Massachusetts with a degree in Nursing. She received her Bachelors’ degree at St. Joseph College, Standish, Maine and a Masters in Health Care Administration from Framingham State College, Framingham, Massachusetts. In 1988 Sister became a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. She has worked in a variety of capacities at Bethany Health Care Center including Staff Nurse, Nurse Supervisor and was the Director of Nursing for eight years. Sister was Administrator at Santa Maria Nursing Home, Cambridge, Massachusetts and Wingate at Brighton, Massachusetts. For the past 13 years, she has been the CEO/ Administrator at Bethany Health Care Center.

Sister Jacquelyn is a member of the Board of Directors of the American College Health Care Administrators, MASS Chapter, a member of the Board of Directors of Notre Dame Long Term Care, Worcester, MA, a member of the Informal Dispute Resolution Committee, Department of Public Health, and a Health Care Consultant National Religious Retirement Office, Washington, DC.

Named Health Care Champion by Boston Business Journal in August, 2009, Sister Jacquelyn was also awarded the AMDA Foundation Evercare Award for improving the quality of life Person Living in long term care facilities, presented at the Annual AMDA Convocation, March, 2009.

As a Sister of St. Joseph Sister Jacquelyn has had the great fortune of being a member of the Bethany team for 30 wonderful years.
