Bethany’s resident-oriented approach to healthcare correlates with its Model of Care Program (Click here for progam details) and is tailored to provide the delivery of quality healthcare 24/7.

Fundamental to the program is its "treat in place" modality of care which results in significantly reducing the numbers of acute hospitalizations for Bethany Health Care residents.

A comprehensive array of in-house medical services, educational programs and a dynamic resident-oriented activities program enable Bethany’s committed staff to address the individual needs of each resident and ensure that each resident is able to live out their life to their fullest.

Bethany Health Care Center’s 2016 “Making a Difference” Award Dinner was held at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel on October 13, 2016. This year’s event honored Mary F. Mahoney and her children John J. Mahoney, James E. Mahoney, Mary Louise Mahoney Cohn, Jane Ochs, Nancy Collopy, Reverend Thomas A. Mahoney, Daniel J. Mahoney and Catherine Mahoney.

Included among those who paid tribute to Mary and her family were: the Most Reverend Mark O’Connell, J.C.D., Auxiliary Bishop of Boston; Brian Leary, Partner at Holland & Knight and former WCVB-TV News Anchor and Reporter who served as Emcee for the evening; Henry Luthin, Esq. presented Mary with a Proclamation on behalf of The Honorable Martin J. A video entitled “Embracing New Hope,” produced by the production team at Cramer featuring Mary and her sons, Father Thom and John and his wife Rose offered testimonials as to Bethany’s delivery of the high quality care that residents receive which was followed by a warm and heartfelt family tribute to their beloved mother Mary by John and Father Thom.

As a devoted mother, Mary served as a model to her eight children, instilling in them from an early age her lifelong values and the significance of giving oneself to helping others. Guided by their faith and love of family, Mary and her children have responded and reached out to people and communities in times of need. They have enhanced the quality of life for those who have benefitted from their charitable endeavors in receiving critical services in education, health care and social services in Boston and throughout the Metropolitan Boston area. Bethany Health Care Center was privileged to honor Mary F. Mahoney and her children as recipients of its 2016 “Making a Difference” Award.
