Anne Marie Willhite

In her Mission Integration role at Bethany Health Care Center, Anne Marie Willhite connects residents and staff to the charism and mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston and of Bethany Health Care Center. Her focus is on enabling and empowering Bethany staff to live the mission as well as supporting and enriching residents to live their best lives through on-on-one visits and interactions, daily presence on the floors, education programs, creative/informative displays, justice and peace programs and uplifting music at daily liturgies/special feasts and celebrations.

Prior to responding to God’s call to ministry, Anne Marie worked in Systems and Software Engineering. She holds a Master of Divinity and Master of Theology  from Boston College; a Master of Science in Computer Science from Steven’s Institute of Technology, and Master of Business Administration from Clark University. She is a trained Spiritual Director, having received her training through Boston College and the Spiritual Direction Internship Initiative sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston. Anne Marie has worked in a variety of ministerial settings – hospital, parish, retreat and spiritual direction.

She finds most rewarding the relationships she has built with Bethany residents and staff. “Our residents are intelligent and talented women who have done many wonderful things in their lives. They deserve the best care we can give. Our staff are caring and hardworking; they treat our residents like family.”

In her spare time, Anne Marie enjoys time with her husband, walking and being in nature, music, reading snowshoeing, table top games with family, continuous learning, and writing and developing creative programs for Bethany residents.
